BETHLEHEM, Pa. -

Police apprehended two boys, ages 13 and 16, who they said pushed a Lehigh University student to the ground and robbed him early Wednesday morning.

According to police reports, the student was returning home from campus at Thomas and Hillside avenues around 12:16 when the two teenagers, wearing black hoods over their faces, came from behind and pushed the student to the ground, taking a backpack, wallet and cell phone.

The boys then fled on foot after police were notified. Police dogs found them in a neighbor's backyard.

Police recovered the stolen property from a closed trash container in the rear of a house at 745 East 6th Street.

The student was not injured. The two teenagers were charged with robbery.
