The Berks Technical Institute in Wyomissing is taking future students to new heights.

The school had hot air balloon rides Wednesday afternoon as part of its summer solstice open house.

Potential students got to tour the campus and learn about the degree programs the school offers.

There was also barbecue chicken and Rita's Italian Ice to help visitors stay cool.
