CUMRU TWP., Pa. -

Some travelers in Berks County may be facing a traffic headache this weekend.

That's because I-176 on both sides has been closed between routes 422 and 724 in Cumru Township for construction work.

That part of the interstate will be shut down until noon on Sunday.

PennDOT officials say the travel lanes will be shifted from the southbound side of 176 to the northbound side.

It's all part of a nearly $15 million improvement project that began last year.
