Inmate, Beaten In NJ Facility, Dies

A man incarcerated in a New Jersey Youth Detention Center was beaten Sunday night, and died not long after being found by the prison's guards.
20-year-old Carl Epps died just after 10:00 Sunday night, according to a spokesperson for the Mountainview Youth Correctional Facility.
Epps was found beaten between 9:00-9:30pm in the dormitory-type facility.
He was convicted of a January robbery in July and was serving a sentence of with a minimum of 2-and-a-half years.
The incident is being investigated by the Hunterdon County Prosecutor's office.
