Jim Thorpe Borough was celebrating its namesake's birthday with a lawsuit lingering over its head.
The weekend's event honors Olympian and athlete Jim Thorpe, who was a gold medalist in the 1912 games.
Right now there's pending litigation over whether to move Thorpe's body out of the town.
Visitors had mixed views on the situation.
"We think we should keep him here to continue to celebrate his legacy," said Rose Marie Risteter.
"My mother was born and raised here and she to this day still refers to it as Mauch Chunk," Christine Keiser added.
