Judge Judy was reportedly rushed Wednesday from the set of her television show to the hospital for a medical emergency.
KTLA-TV in Los Angeles reported that an ambulance was dispatched for a medical emergency at the Sunset Bronson Studios just after noon Eastern time.
A receptionist at the Judge Judy show, Vanessa Pineda, confirmed to KTLA that Judith Sheindlin, 68, left the studios, but described the incident as a "family emergency."
"The judge was feeling nauseous and had some intestinal discomfort and decided to go to the hospital to get it checked out," Gary Rosen, a representative for Judge Judy, told RadarOnline.com
Sheindlin will stay at the hospital overnight for tests, according to Rosen.
Judge Judy is a popular TV show across the country. It airs Tuesdays through Saturdays at 6:30 and 7:00 p.m. on 69-WFMZ.
In 2010, "Judge Judy" scored a ratings victory over "Oprah" to rank first among daytime series.
