HARRISBURG, Pa. -

The judge overseeing the Penn State child sexual abuse case has delayed former assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky's trial by three weeks.

The judge agreed to postpone the trial from mid-May to June 5.

His decision came in response to a group of motions filed a week ago by the former defensive coordinator's attorney Joe Amendola.

Sandusky, 68, faces 52 counts involving 10 alleged victims over 15 years.

He's confined to his home to await trial, and denies the allegations.
