WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. -

Four teenagers are facing disorderly conduct charges for a YouTube prank that fell flat.

Police said officers were called to the Kmart store in Whitehall Township, Lehigh County Sunday night.

They said someone reported a man being beat up, tied up, and then thrown into the trunk of a car.

As it turned out, police said the teens were faking the whole thing.

"These four young adults were allegedly involved in some type of prank, some type of very foolish joke, which they thought they would place on YouTube," said Chief Ted Kohuth, Whitehall Township Police Department.

Police also said the teens got off light with charges of disorderly conduct.

They said the charges could have been more severe, especially if someone got hurt.
