BATH, Pa. -

Some Lehigh Valley kids are eating their vegetables and picking them, too.

A "harvest party" was held Friday at the victory garden at Unangst Tree Farm in Bath.

Kids from the Marvin Pembroke area of Bethlehem got to pick fruits and vegetables to take home.

The garden was organized by the Friends of the Lehigh Valley Prayer Breakfast to help families in need.

Iit was modeled after the victory gardens that were planted during World War II.
