HANOVER TWP., Pa. -

Lehigh Valley International Airport is bringing back a blast from the past and clearing a new website for take off all in an effort to reconnect with flyers.

The website mixes a little old with the new while the site will be called FlyLVIA the emphasis is on the old ABE name.

The airport code for the Lehigh Valley International Airport is ABE back in 1995 board members switched the branding, to Lehigh Valley International Airport.

Now they are bringing back the three letters.

"That's what's on our bag tags, that's how the airport is recognized in all civil aviation aeronautical terms. It is also our tag line at ABE Always receive a better experience," said David Haines of the Lehigh Northampton Airport Authority.

A new website points out reasons why it is better to travel from Lehigh Valley International: the airlines that service customers and a deal of the day.

The site will also have a more enhanced trip calculator function.

"The new website is a commitment to our passengers we want to make this a passenger friendly,  convenient experience that an air traveller can have in the country," said Haines.

The site color has changed to a blue - gray  to match the new interior design that is currently under construction.

Board members say the website will also help the new management company re-brand the airport.

"We are really excited to have AVports, our new management company on board.

They are currently here doing their 90 day evaluation period," said Haines.

So what was old, is new again.

Board members hope bringing ABE, will mean more customers.

"That's what we are trying to do is trying to brand our airport so that we can attract people from all around the country," said Haines.

Now remember the new website is FlyLVIA.com.

Board members say LVIA.com is already being used by another company.
