Lawsuit Filed Against Borough, Police

A female police officer in Nazareth, Northampton County has filed a federal lawsuit against the borough and her bosses.
Vanessa Cruz-Smith claims she was subjected to harassment and discrimination because she's a woman and she's Puerto Rican.
The suit names the borough, as well as the former police chief, the current chief, and a detective.
69 News tried contacting the borough and the police department for comment. But our calls were not returned.
