ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

A Lehigh Valley Mayor was one of more than 100 municipal leaders to attend a forum at the White House on Monday.

Allentown Mayor Ed Pawlowski was in Washington D.C. for the "Building One America" event.

At the forum, experts and local officials were expected to detail the social and fiscal pressures facing communities across the country. They were also expected to give examples of what is working and what else is being proposed to promote more stability and greater economic growth.

"This meeting provides a chance to join with other municipal, business and community leaders to muster support for an agenda to address the unique challenges we are facing in cities and towns across America," said Pawlowski in a release issued by the city.
