        BERN TWP., Pa. -

A local family is in for a life-changing moment.

No one is revealing who that family is just yet, but for about the last month, the building trades community in Berks County has been working with the producers of ABC's Extreme Makeover Home Edition how to make it happen.

"Move that bus," is the famous line Ty Pennington uses to reveal a brand new home built for a deserving family in less than a week.

I haven't met Ty and his bull horn yet, said Dean Ramich, president of the Home Builders Association of Berks County.

At the group's Lobsterfest, Ramich announced what he and a team having been working on this last month.

Even through the struggles of these economic times, the companies and the people of this area have shown what we are all about, community, said Ramich.

Locally, the building community is hurting.

The executive director said there are only 80 working permits compared to 900 at this time three years ago, but that hasn't hurt the donations of labor and materials.

For the most part, it's going to somebody. I want you to donate something for a project. I can't tell you what it is or where it is, said Ramich.

Extreme Makeover Home Edition is known for its secrecy and its surprises, which means we can't reveal a thing. And nobody else can, either.

I will give the three word answer that we were sworn to, said Ramich. We don't know. That's what makes the show the surprise of wow it's me. And then it's the surprise of wow look at what I got. Look at what the community has done for me.

What has been accomplished in weeks typically takes months, if not years in some cases, and it's pretty incredible, said Kirsten Deysher, the secretary for the Home Builders Association.

Deysher is coordinating everything not related to building and said it's been a lot of work but well worth it.

We're calling it the biggest thing to hit Berks County, she said.

It shows what a community can do when just everybody gets together, said Ramich.

And next Wednesday at 6 p.m. at First Energy Stadium you can be part of the Extreme Makeover pep rally.
