READING, Pa. -

A woman working behind the counter of a corner grocery store experienced some scary moments when a masked man burst inside and demanded money, police said.

The robbery happened around 7 p.m. Tuesday at Freddy's Grocery at North 10th and Washington streets in Reading.

The masked man showed a gun and cleared out the cash register, said Sgt. John Solecki, Reading Police Dept., who noted that the robber was last seen running east on Washington Street.

A customer was also inside the store at the time of the robbery, but no one was hurt, police said.
