More charges filed against student accused of robbing pharmacies

PSU student accused of robbing pharmacies faces judge

LOWER POTTSGROVE TWP., Pa. -

The man accused of holding up drug stores by claiming to have an HIV-infected needle was in court Tuesday.

Shivi Neil was arraigned on charges of robbery, theft and simple assault in the holdup of a CVS pharmacy on East High Street in Lower Pottsgrove Twp., Montgomery Co., on Jan. 3.

Neil was arrested January 13 at Penn State University's Berks campus in Spring Township, where he's a student.

He's also facing charges for a robbery at the Rite Aid on State Hill Road in Wyomissing, Berks Co. on January 8, and he stands accused of robbing two other pharmacies in Maidencreek and Spring townships.
