All New Jersey voters will decide whether to increase the state's minimum wage.

The state Assembly has approved a referendum that could increase the minimum wage a dollar to $8.25.

The measure also ties future yearly increases to the Consumer Price Index.

Governor Chris Christie recently vetoed a measure that increases the minimum wage to $8.50 an hour.

Christie wants a $1 hike phased in over three years with no annual increases.

This follows President Obama's proposal to raise the national minimum wage to $9 an hour.
