Nuclear regulators hear comments about Limerick plant
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission is deciding whether to renew the license of the Limerick Generating Station in Montgomery County.
A public hearing on the matter was held Thursday afternoon.
The license for Unit 1 will expire in 2024; the license for Unit 2 will expire in 2029.
If the licenses are renewed, the plant will be able to operate for at least 20 years beyond their expiration dates.
