Check your liquor cabinets: your tequila may have glass particles in it.

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board is voluntarily recalling 1800 Tequila 1.75 Liter Silver, Reposado and Coconut due to potential glass particles in the bottle.

The number of affected bottles is expected to be low and there have been no reports of injured consumers.

According to information provided by Agavera Camichines, S.A. de C.V., the brand owner of 1800 Tequila, potential damage during transportation and handling to glass stoppers in the bottle may have caused the presence of small particles of glass that could pose a health risk.

The recall does not effect 1800 Tequila in all other bottle sizes as well as 1800 Tequila Anejo, Select Silver and 1800 Ultimate Margarita.

Customers who have affected product should not consume it nor should they allow others to consume it. Anyone who has consumed tequila from an affected bottle and becomes ill or shows signs of complications should see a physician immediately.

Customers who may have purchased one of the products may return the bottle to any state spirits store for a refund or call Agavera Camichines, S.A. de C.V. for more information at 866-795-8805 or via email at info@1800tequila.com.
