HARRISBURG, Pa. -

State Police made 22 criminal arrests, captured 11 fugitives and recovered nearly $11,000 in stolen property during a three-day statewide operation in may, officials now say.

The crackdown, known as "Operation Maximum Effort", ran from May 29 to 31 and placed police on highways around the state.  All officers received special training to identify potential signs of criminal activity during routine traffic stops, according to officials.

Along with drug-sniffing dogs, police teams seized over 600 packet of heroine, 27 lbs. of cocaine, 23 lbs. of marijuana and nearly $10,000 in drug money, the report states.
