Plans are in the works to replace a bridge in Oley Township, state officials said Monday.

Pa. Rep. David Maloney said the Route 73 bridge needs to be replaced because problems were discovered during an inspection.

The bridge is near the Weis Market in Oley. Weight restrictions will be posted on the bridge this week to limit bus and truck traffic. Cars shouldn't have problems using the bridge.

Work to replace the bridge is expected to start after the start of the new year.
