The crash of an SUV into a store window left police and fire officials scratching their heads Sunday afternoon.

The accident happened at the Village Plaza on West Penn Pike in West Penn Township, Schuylkill County.

Police said the woman behind the wheel of the SUV was in a hurry to get home to watch a NASCAR race. They said she meant to step on the brake, but accidentally stepped on the gas pedal instead.

The woman ended up crashing into a storage room of the EZ Market.

Ambulance personnel evaluated the woman at the scene, but she wasn't seriously hurt.

Police said charges are pending the outcome an investigation.
