Police seek goats missing from Centre County farm
Police are trying to find more than two dozen goats that mysteriously disappeared from a farm in central Pennsylvania.
Sylvia Nyman, a 77-year-old resident of Liberty Twp., Centre Co., said the first six goats vanished last month, and then, she said 20 more disappeared. Now, Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the disappearance as a possible theft.
The reported thefts happened sometime between Dec. 22 and Christmas Day on the farm in northern Centre County, authorities said.
The Centre Daily Times reported that neighbors have long complained about Nyman's goats. Since 2009, the newspaper has reported she has been on the losing end of three separate lawsuits brought by neighbors and the township.
Court documents show a judge ruled in favor of the township in October, prompting Nyman to put up fencing.
