Police are still searching for the killer of 15-year-old Wilberto Rojas.
The teen was standing with a group of friends when the attacker ran up and slashed his throat around 6:30 p.m. on Friday in Reading.
Rojas died on his way to the hospital.
Neighbors like Sally Potvin are shocked as they mourn the loss of the young boy.
"For someone to end a life..a young life...who hasn't had a chance to do anything...it's just wrong," she said.
Police are looking for a 5'6" Hispanic man in his early thirties.
Reading Police Captain Damond Kloc says that more information is vital in finding more about why this attack happened in the first place.
"The dynamic of the case is something I haven't seen. For a 15-year-old to be attacked in such a fashion with a couple of witnesses, to me, is mind blowing," he said.
Kloc urges everyone to be extra alert and aware of their surroundings until this man is in custody.
He asks anyone with any information at all about the victim, the stabbing, or the attacker to please call police right away.

The crime stoppers group is offering a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
Grief counseling will be available for students at the Citadel (Reading Intermediate High School) from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Tuesday.
