Pottstown's police chief is taking another post.
Pottstown Borough Council voted unanimously Thursday night to make longtime police chief Mark Flanders borough manager.
He had been the interim manager since July when Jason Bobst resigned to take the township manager position in West Norriton Township.
Flanders says he'll remain police chief until his planned retirement in April.
He's been the police chief since 2000.
