Program challenges students to make positive change
Students at Gov. Mifflin High School took time out of their day to learn a valuable lesson.
They took part in a motivational program called Every Monday Matters. The idea is to challenge students to make a positive change in their communities.
They also took time to focus on themselves.
"Everyone was screaming, 'I matter,' which means that you're supposed to feel good about yourself and that you do matter," said senior Cory McBryan. "You make a difference. You can make a difference in someone's life everyday, which is what you should try to do everyday."
Wednesday's presentation was based on the book, "Every Monday Matters: 52 Ways to Make a Difference."
