Car loses control on I-81, rolls
A car traveling at a high rate of speed loses control, rolls.
Police said Eric Geist of Hegins, Pa., was driving at a high rate of speed in the left lane of I-81 southbound when he encountered another vehicle in that lane in Schuylkill Co. Sunday.
Police said Geist swerved to avoid the vehicle and lost control. His car left the road, rolled several times before coming to a stop along the west side of the road.
Geist was taken to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville for treatment of moderate injuries.
The accident happened around 5 p.m. at mile marker 113.8 in Foster Twp.
Police said Geist showed signs of intoxication.
The crash is under investigation.
