Fast-moving fire destroys sports club
A fire Sunday destroyed the West Penn Archery Club in Schuylkill County.
Firefighters from two counties found themselves up against a losing battle Sunday night.
A fast-moving fire destroyed the West Penn Archery Club in West Penn Twp., Schuylkill Co.
The fire was first reported at 7:30 p.m. when neighbors and passing motorists reported seeing flames shooting from the building on Archery Club Road.
When firefighters from Schuylkill and Carbon counties arrived on scene they found the building fully involved in flames.

Firefighters had to truck in water to the site because of its remote location.
One member of the club who was at the scene said the building housed a lot of cardboard for making targets for the indoor range.
No injuries were reported in the fire.
