Police recover 12 of 15 stolen guns

MAHONING TWP., Pa. -

Police have recovered 12 of 15 guns stolen from a Mahoning Township residence.

Police said a Ford Ranger pickup truck and 15 guns were reported stolen on Feb. 13.

After an extensive investigation, police recovered the truck in Allentown, and 12 of the guns were found in Lehigh County.

The investigation also led police to arrest David Keen Jr., of Lehighton. He was charged with 15 counts of theft by unlawful taking or disposition, and 15 counts of receiving stolen property.

Police entered the missing three guns into the National Crime Information Center database, which provides stolen records to law enforcement agencies across the nation.

Mahoning Township police were assisted in the investigation by police departments in Allentown, Whitehall Township, Lehigh Township and Moore Township.
