Police searching for armed robber
Second theft in less than a month at mini market
Tamaqua mini market robbed
For the scond time in less than a month, police in Tamaqua, Schuylkill County are searching for a man they say held up a mini market with a gun.
It happened around 1:15 a.m. Sunday at Fegely's mini market on Center Street in the borough.
Fegely's was also robbed January 21.
Police said a man, covering his face with a checkered bandana, entered the store, showed a gun to an employee and demanded money.
No one was hurt.
The man left with an undisclosed amount of cash and some cigarettes, according to police.
The suspect is described as 5'8", and 240 lbs. Police said he was wearing a green Northface jacket, according to police.
No arrest has been made. Anyone with information is asked to contact Tamaqua Police at (570) 668-6100.
