The head of the Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs casino in Luzerne County is leaving for another job in Connecticut.
Bobby Soper has been chief executive officer of the Plains Township facility since it opened as the state's first casino in 2006. He's taking another job with Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut, that starts later this month.
WNEP-TV reports Soper will be replaced in Pennsylvania by assistant general manager Mike Bean.
Ten more casinos have opened across the state since Pocono Downs became the first in November of 2006.
The state legalized casino gambling in 2004 and uses the tax revenue to support the state budget, public schools, civic development projects, volunteer firefighting squads, local governments and the horse racing industry.
