East Stroudsburg man accused of possessing 'counterfeit' heroin
A 24-year-old East Stroudsburg mas was arrested for allegedly possessing "counterfeit" heroin, as well as suspected marijuana, according to state police.
William Joseph Patterson III was arrested Friday night in the Winona Lakes development while police were investigating a report of a suspicious person. Patterson was found sleeping in the cabin of a sailboat parked in a driveway, police said.
Patterson was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and 59 wax packets containing a "counterfeit substance in place of heroin," police said.
Patterson was charged with drug law violations and lodged at the Monroe County Correctional Facility pending a preliminary arraignment, police said.
