An accident involving a tractor trailer and another vehicle has killed at least one person and closed a stretch of Interstate 80 East.
The accident happened around 1 p.m. Monday near mile-marker 282 in Kidder Township.
The driver of the car, 26-year-old Christian Hills, of Butler County, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Carbon County Coroner Bruce Nalesnic.
The impact of the crash caused the tractor trailer to roll onto its side and land along the snow-covered shoulder of the highway.
State police, who said the accident appeared to be weather-related, have closed I-80 East between exits 277 and 284.
