Firefighters in Carbon County battled a fire in a Lehighton home Friday night.

Officials said the flames broke out around 9pm Friday in the 200 block of Ochre Street in Lehighton.

Crews at the scene said officials found two pets in the house they thought were dead, but after pulling them out of the fire realized they were alive.

It took three fire companies to get the fire under control.

No one was hurt.
