Argument over money triggers shooting in Lehighton

LEHIGHTON, Pa. -

Police in Carbon County said a man opened fire during an argument over money.

It happened early Thursday morning at an apartment in the 200 block of North First Street in Lehighton.

Police say Michael Taschler wouldn't pay money he owed to a man who was staying there.

Police say another man -- Joseph Pellegrino of Kunkletown -- started shooting at him., but missed.

Pellegrino is facing attempted homicide charges.
