MAHANOY TWP., Pa. -

Firefighters in Schuylkill County had to tackle a smoky fire Monday afternoon which is fitting considering the venue.

Officials say a fire broke out at a former cigar factory.

The fire was reported a little after 1:00 at the old General Cigar factory on East Road in Mahanoy Township, west of Tamaqua.

Officials are still working on an exact cause of the fire but they say it may have been started by a torch.

Workers had been cleaning out the building.

No injuries have been reported.
