Long Pond man sentenced to 5 yrs in prison for child porn offense

PHILADELPHIA -

A 34-year-old Monroe County man has been sentenced to five years in prison for receiving child pornography.

According to U.S. Attorney Peter J. Smith, Jonathan Brownlee of Long Pond, previously pleaded guilty to using a computer to download images of child pornography from April through December of 2009.

Brownlee was indicted by a federal grand jury in June 2010 after an investigation by the FBI, the Pa. Attorney General's office, Delaware County Detectives and Pocono Mountain Regional Police.

Brownlee also faces supervised release for 20 years after his prison sentence and is required to pay a special assessment of $100.

Brownlee will also be required to register as a sex offender and comply with the requirements of the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act.
