Parents sentenced in baby-starving case
Two Carbon County parents, accused of letting their baby starve to death while they smoked pot, have been sentenced.
Kimberly Taschler, of Palmerton, has been sentenced to 14-42 months in prison.
Jacob Taschler got 11-24 months.
Both of them admitted to child endangerment in July while Kimberly Taschler also admitted to involuntary manslaughter.
Investigators say the Taschlers left their 11-month-old daughter strapped into a car seat, alone, for some 16 hours.
She later died.
