EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. -

An East Stroudsburg University student from Easton was busted on drug charges during a raid on his residence early Tuesday morning, officials said.

Members of the Monroe County Drug Task Force moved in on Thoai Luong's residence at 207 Grove St. in East Stroudsburg, Monroe Co., at approximately 6 a.m. and found him throwing bags of marijuana from his bedroom window, officials said.

The investigation of Luong, who lived just feet from East Stroudsburg South High School, began earlier this month with task force members making controlled purchases inside his residence, officials said.

Officers seized approximately a half-pound of marijuana, packaged for redistribution, during the raid, said officials, adding that a scale, cell phone, iPod, and about $1,000 in small bills were also found.

Luong was taken into custody on charges of criminal use of a communication facility, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with/fabricating physical evidence.
