Berwick man charged with unlawful contact with minor

Police have arrested a man who they say tried to meet a teenage girl he had developed an online relationship.

Pocono Mountain Regional Police said they arrested Brian Orlowski, 43, of Berwick, at Blanche Price Tobyhanna Township Park on Thursday morning.

Police said Orlowski had intended to pick up the 13 year old at the park. Orlowski had online Facebook chats and text communications with the girl, according to police. Authorities said Orlowski convinced the teen to skip school, smoke marijuana, and have a sexual relationship with him.

In addition to the charges Orlowski faces in Monroe County, police said Orlowski is  currently out on bail for drug offenses in Lackawanna County.

Pocono Mountain Regional Police charged Orlowski with Unlawful Contact with a Minor,  Interference with the Custody of a Minor, Criminal Use of a Communication Device, Luring a Child into a Motor vehicle,  and Corruption of Minors. Orlowski's bail was set at $150,000.
