Carbon County tree will decorate the White House
Tree came from Crystal Spring Tree Farm near Lehighton
A 20-foot Christmas tree from Crystal Spring Tree Farm near Lehighton has been delivered to Washington, D.C., where it will stand in the Blue Room of the White House.
The tree will be dedicated Friday.
This is the third time in seven years Crystal Spring has been chosen to provide the evergreen for the Blue Room, reported Maraget Botek, one of the owners of the tree farm. Her son Chris accompanied the tree to the nation's capital Monday and will attend the dedication ceremony.
Margaret said White House staffers look for a spectacular tree, and "they always get what they are looking for" at Crystal Spring.
She said Crystal Spring is also providing the tree for the Capitol Rotunda in Harrisburg for the eighteenth time this year.
The tree farm is along Route 902 in Mahoning Township, three miles west of Lehighton.
