TAMAQUA, Pa. -

A fire damaged a row of homes in Schuylkill County early Wednesday morning.

Flames erupted around 5:30 a.m. in the 100 block of Coal Street in Tamaqua.

Several fire companies were called to the scene, and officials said several homes were affected. The extent of damage wasn't immediately clear.

Officials have not said if anyone was injured.
