LONG POND, Pa. -

A Monroe County woman is in jail after police said she swung a machete at her partner.

According to Pocono Mountain Regional Police, 47-year-old Linda Reed waved the huge knife at Pamela DeBrule on Thursday afternoon at a home in the 100 block of Bull Run in Long Pond.

Police said the machete was recovered and taken for evidence.

No injuries were reported.

Reed was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, terroristic threats, harassment and possession of instruments of a crime.

She was taken to Monroe County Correctional Facility where she was held until her arraignment.
