Thirty-one-year-old Mandy Heier of Henryville, Monroe County, has been charged with prescription drug fraud by Pocono Mountain Regional Police.
A police investigation determined Heier had been creating false prescriptions for Schedule III and Schedule IV drugs under another person's name and then picking them up at area pharmacies.
She was arrested Monday and charged with unlawful use of a computer, computer trespass, identity theft, forgery and criminal use of a communications facility.
She also was charged with four counts under the Drug Device and Cosmetic Act -- possession of a controlled substance, acquiring a controlled substance by fraud or deception, administration of a controlled substance by a medical practitioner and counterfeiting or simulating a mark or stamp.
Heier was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Anthony Flugel on released on $10,000 unsecured bail.
