Monroe Co. fire proves fatal for 54-year-old man

BARRETT TWP., Pa. -

A Monroe County man lost his life when his house caught fire Saturday night.

County Coroner Bob Allen said 54-year-old Richard Zegilla was found dead on the third floor of his home at 102 Roth Lane in Barrett Twp.

The fire started in the back of the first floor, officials said.

Allen said Zegilla died of smoke inhalation.

There's no word on the cause of the fire.
