JIM THORPE, Pa. -

Police are investigating a report of a student with a weapon at a Carbon County high school.

Police were called to Jim Thorpe Area High School around 8:20 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a weapon inside the school.

One person was taken into custody and according to county dispatchers, the situation is under control.

An official at the high school told 69 News the school "won't have a comment until we are done with the police."

No other information is available at this time.
