Ross Twp. shooting survivor Linda Kozic thanks community for support
She was shot in Ross Twp. municipal meeting last month; her husband was killed in incident.
One of the survivors of the meeting shooting in Ross Township, Monroe County, is thanking the community for its support.
Shooting survivor Linda Kozic says she's so grateful for the love and support of her community.
Folks came together Sunday afternoon for a concert fundraiser for Linda at the Comfort Inn Bartonsville.
She is one of the survivors- but her husband Gerard Kozic was killed when a gunman opened fire on a township supervisors meeting in August.
"I'm doing well. Again the road is going to be long. I haven't dealt with my husband's death really yet," Kozic said. "I just moved back home, so that's going to help me there. That's going to be tough but I'm doing great compared to what I went through.
"I just really want to thank everyone for everything they've done, because they don't realize how much just knowing they care- just lifts you up and helps you to heal," she added.
She says she's not surprised by the outpouring of love and that all the positive energy means so much to her recovery.
