St. Luke's University Health Network has branched out across the Lehigh Valley, but now the hospital could be expanding its reach to the north.

According to a zoning application, St. Luke's is planning to build an inpatient hospital,  dubbed St. Luke's Pocono, on 38 acres near Bartonsville.

The land is just off of Route 611 and I-80; not far from Pocono Medical Center.

Local resident Joseph S. Darlak is selling the land.

Officials with St. Luke's says they are evaluating the property, and this is the beginning of a very long land development process.
