Television viewers in the coal region are now able to view WFMZ-TV on their local cable system.

WFMZ-TV has reached an agreement with Service Electric Cablevision to carry 69 News and the station's syndicated programming on its Mahanoy City and Hazleton systems.

Viewers can now watch the award-winning 69 News on channel 10, as well as some of the top syndicated shows like "Judge Judy," "Dr. Phil," and "The Steve Harvey Show."

The station also features award-winning local programming like "The Freddy Awards," "The Big Ticket" and select regional sports coverage.

“There is a growing connection between the Lehigh Valley and these areas," said Barry Fisher, president of WFMZ-TV and Maranatha Broadcasting. "We are pleased our friends at Service Electric Cablevision were able to add us to their Mahanoy City and Hazleton cable systems."

WFMZ-TV, owned and operated by Maranatha Broadcasting Company, produces more than 35 hours of local news each week.

Its parent company also operates the AccuWeather Channel, MeTV, and RTV networks, as well as WFMZ.com.
