Monroe County releases proposed 2014 budget

The numbers are out for Monroe County's proposed 2014 budget.

The $87 million spending plan has been released.

Thirty-one percent of that money will go toward wages and overtime and officials are budgeting for a six percent increase in health care costs.

The budget also has some good news for residents:

Property taxes are staying the same.

Officials are expected to vote on the budget within the next few weeks.
