Pocono Medical Center celebrates the 100th birthday of volunteer Madeline Wesby

A woman who's used to serving others has been served with birthday cheer.

Madeline Wesby turned 100 years old Saturday.

She's been a volunteer at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg for more than 20 years.

On Friday, the hospital threw a birthday bash for her.

The Pen Argyl native still exercises. drives, and -- most importantly -- helps others.

"I'm not ready to sit down. "This is the most sitting I did today!  I was surprised," Madeline said.

"I don't feel 100, truthfulIy, I don't. The years kept accumulating, but I still don't feel it," she added.

In addition to a cake and gifts, Madeline was presented with a certificate of special recognition by Monroe County.
